- 1989 - Public Enemy broke up after member Professor Griff made anti-semetic remarks. They reformed two months later.
- 1998 - The Spice Girls started their first North American tour in Miami.
- 2000 - Flesh-n-Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was convicted of assault with a firearm for threatening a person with an AK-47.
- 2000 - It's named Lynn Anderson Day in Tennessee.
