- 1988 - Shane Macgowan of the Pogues was hospitalized in Dublin from nervous exhaustion.

- 2004 - A benefit tribute to the Ramones was held in Hollywood with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eddie Vedder, Henry Rollins and X.

- 2006 - Britney Spears gave birth to baby number two.
- 2006 - Jay Kay of Jamiroquai was arrested for assault after a fight with a photographer outside a London nightclub.
- 2007 - Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones announced they would reform, with Jason Bonham in for his later-father John, for a November concert salute to Ahmet Ergtegun.
- 2008 - Kanye West was arrested for vandalism after breaking a photographer's camera at Los Angeles International Airport.
