  • 2002 - It was announced that George Harrison left £99 million to his wife Olivia and son Dhani.
  • 2002 - Oasis has to cancel the rest of a German tour after Liam Gallagher injures his mouth and teeth in a bar fight.
  • 2003 - Part of East 2nd Street in New York was renamed Joey Ramone Place.
  • 2005 - Michael Jackson was under investigation for allegedly flying drugs from the U.S. to his home in Bahrain.

  • 1990 - Charges were dropped against Guns 'N Roses singer Axl Rose in a charge of his attacking a neighbor.
  • 1992 - Marty Stuart became a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
  • 1995 - Brian Eno was given the Turner Prize for art in London.
  • 2002 - Tony McCarroll, the original drummer for Oasis, lost in his bid to sue the group after he failed to file within the six-year time limit.
  • 2005 - Chris Cornell of Soundgarden sued his ex-wife and former manager for $1 million claiming that she gave money due to him to other members of the group.
  • 2006 - Snoop Dogg was arrested after police found marijuana, cocaine and a firearm in his car during a traffic stop.

  • 1998 - Craig Marks, editor of Spin magazine, claims that Marilyn Manson and his bodyguards threatened him backstage after a concert.
  • 2003 - Michael Jackson opened his website in defense against allegations of sexual abuse.
  • 2003 - Meat Loaf was operated on for a heart condition.
  • 2003 - Ibrahim Duarte, former manager of 'N Sync, sued the group for $10 million, charging that they had fired him three years earlier for racial reasons.
  • 2003 - Six people were arrested when hundreds of people tried to gatecrash Jay-Z's farewell show at Madison Square Garden in New York.
