  • 1953 - The Osbourne Brothers debuted.

  • 1965 - The opening night of the Fillmore West in San Francisco was played by the Grateful Dead and the Jefferson Airplane.
  • 1968 - Head, starring the Monkees, opened in New York.
  • 1970 - Aerosmith played live for the first time at Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, MA.
  • 1973 - Two men, including manager Phil Kaufman, were charged and fined for stealing the coffin of Gram Parsons. They had the body cremated and spread the ashes at California's Joshua Tree monument which they said was Parson's wish.
  • 1975 - The Sex Pistols made their live debut in Central London.
  • 1980 - Led Zeppelin met on the island of Jersey to discuss their future after the death of John Bonham.
  • 2000 - Madonna played live for the first time in eight years at the Roseland Ballroom in New York.
