- 1994 - David Crosby had a liver transplant in Los Angeles.
- 1995 - The Frank Sinatra 80th Birthday Tribute was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Performers included Bob Dylan, Paula Abdul, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.
- 1997 - Paul McCartney's classical work, Standing Stone, had its U.S. premier at Carnegie Hall.
- 1997 - Johnny Cash was hospitalized for double pneumonia.
- 1998 - Four songwriters/producers/musicians sued Lauryn Hill saying she did not give them proper credit on the album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
- 1998 - Motley Crue opened a store in Los Angeles selling clothing and other merchandise from the band.
- 1999 - Shane MacGowan of the Pogues was arrested for heroin possession.
- 2001 - Scott Weiland of the Stone Temple Pilots was arrested for domestic batters after fighting with his wife at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
- 2002 - Michael Jackson's reputation took another hit after he dangled his son, known as Blanket, from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Berlin, Germany.
- 2003 - Police issued an arrest warrant for Michael Jackson in the alleged abuse of a 12-year-old boy.
- 2003 - The Stone Temple Pilots announced they were splitting up.
- 2004 - Young Buck was arrested after the Vibe Hip-Hop Awards for stabbing a man who punched Dr. Dre.
- 2005 - Gary Glitter was arrested in Viet Nam for committing lewd acts with two girls under the age of 18.
