- 1987 - The Beatles sued Nike over the use of the song Revolution in shoe commercials.
- 1991 - Over 100 people were arrested when 2,000 rioted at an M.C. Hammer show.
- 1993 - 10,000 Maniacs played their last show with Natalie Merchant as their lead singer.
- 1995 - The father of Jimi Hendrix finally wins a long battle for his son's likeness and music.
