• 1978 - The Sex Pistols single No One is Innocent was banned by the BBC because wanted criminal Ronnie Biggs (the Great Train Robbery) sang lead.
• 1985 - Live Aid was held in London and Philadelphia with performances by Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, the Who, U2, Queen, Tom Petty, Hall & Oates and many more. 
• 1985 - Elton John re-signed with MCA Records for five albums/$8 million (a record for the time).
