• 1968 - Bill Graham moved the Fillmore West from its original location in San Francisco to the Carousel Ballroom. The final show at the original venue was played by Electric Flag and Blue Cheer.
• 1969 - Bob Dylan made a surprise appearance with the Band at the Mississippi River Rock Festival, performing three songs.
• 1973 - The Everly Brothers broke up while on stage at Knott's Berry Farm in California. Phil smashed his guitar after he thought Don was drinking during the set and Don announced the split.
• 1973 - Gary Glitter and the Glitter Men played their first live show in Mecksham, England.
• 1977 - Elvis Costello & the Attractions made their live debut in Penzance, England.
• 1980 - Allen Klein went to jail for two-months for falsifying his tax returns.
• 1980 - Bryan Ferry collapsed from a kidney infection and was flown from France to London.
• 1982 - Pink Floyd's movie The Wall premiered in London.
• 1982 - Van Halen opened their North American Hide Your Sheep Tour in Augusta, GA.

• 2000 - The Go-Go's announced they were reuniting for an album and tour.
• 2006 - Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream was attacked in a Madrid bar and had his nose broken.
• 2009 - Thousands of Michael Jackson fans went to London's O2 Arena in remembrance of the day that the singer's residency was to begin.
• 2010 - Bono of U2 announced that he was recovered from his recent back surgery.
