  • 1957 - RCA has to change its plans when 500,000 advance copies of Elvis' Christmas Album are ordered. They had only planned on pressing 200,000.
  • 1967 - Cass Elliott was in jail overnight in London after being accused of stealing from a hotel. A Mamas & Papas show had to be canceled.
  • 1967 - The Beatles rejected an offer from Sid Bernstein for $1 million to play again at Shea Stadium.
  • 1970 - Ned Kelly, starring Mick Jagger, is released in England.
  • 1975 - John Lennon received his Green Card.
  • 1977 - Steve Hackett left Genesis to start a solo career.
  • 1980 - Authorities ruled that John Bonham's death was accidental.
  • 1981 - The Time made their live debut.
  • 1982 - Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin was found guilty of cocaine possession and was given a twelve-month conditional discharge.
