  • 1964 - The Beatles and Bob Dylan met for the first time in New York.
  • 1964 - The Beatles were on the cover of Life Magazine.
  • 1965 - The Rolling Stones announced that Allen Klein would co-manage the group with Andrew Long Oldham. The group also singed a new five-year contract with Decca Records in the U.K.
  • 1965 - Bob Dylan opened a North American tour in New York. The new format was solo set first followed by an electric set with Al Kooper, Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm and Harvey Brooks.
  • 1967 - The Grateful Dead and Big Brother & the Holding Company played at the funeral for a Hell's Angel biker.
  • 1970 - Elvis Presley played his last show at the International Hotel in Las Vegas under a death threat.
  • 1972 - David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars did their first show at Carnegie Hall in New York.
  • 1984 - The Jackson's Victory tour set a record for that day with 1.1 million tickets sold.
