- 1966 - Gene Clark announced he was leaving the Byrds, blaming his fear of flying.
- 1969 - Jim Morrison of the Doors was officially charged with lewd and lascivious behavior after allegedly exposing himself during a Miami concert. He was pardoned in 2010.

- 1994 - Nirvana played what would be their final concert in Munich, Germany.
- 1995 - Bill Berry collapsed from a brain aneurysm while on tour with R.E.M.
