• 1964 - Barbra Streisand opened on Broadway in Funny Girl.
• 1965 - It was announced that Eric Clapton would be replaced by Jeff Beck in the Yardbirds.
• 1965 - Mick Jagger, Brian Jones and Bill Wyman all received shocks from their microphones during a Rolling Stones concert in Denmark. Wyman was knocked out for a number of minutes.
• 1969 - John Lennon and Yoko Ono started their bed-in in Amsterdam.
• 1970 - Peter Yarrow was sentenced to three months in jail on charges of taking immoral liberties with a 14-year-old girl.
• 1975 - The film version of The Who's Tommy opened in London.
