- 1991 - Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block agreed to do public service announcements in exchange for reduced charges in an arson arrest in Louisville, KY.
- 1992 - Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses exited Chicago before he could be arrested for a riot during a St. Louis show.
- 1994 - Courtney Love read Kurt Cobain's suicide note to a crowd of 10,000 in Seattle who were holding a vigil.
- 1999 - A charity concert was held for the late Linda McCartney with Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Chrissie Hynde and George Michael.
- 2000 - Sony announced it would make its first digital downloads available.
- 2001 - Bruce Springsteen won $3.25 million from Ronald Winter of Masquerade Music for copyright infringement over the album Before the Fame.
- 2001 - Eminem was fined and give two years probation for carrying a concealed weapon.
- 2002 - The Statler Brothers announced the dates for their final tour.
- 2003 - The Rolling Stones have to cancel a show in Bangkok after their plane develops problems and leaves them stranded in Bombay.
