• 1974 - Governor Jimmy Carter throws a post-concert party at the Georgia Governor's mansion for Bob Dylan.
• 1982 - B.B. King donated his 20,000 disk record collection to Mississippi University's center for the Study of Southern Culture.
• 1987 - Jackie Wilson, the Coasters, Eddie Cochran, Bo Diddley, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Bill Haley, B.B.
