- 1988 - Stevie Wonder was given the MusiCares Person of the Year award.
- 1993 - Bruce Dickinson left Iron Maiden for a solo career. He came back six years later.

- 2000 - Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder and Lauryn Hill join together at an L.A. church to salute the late Curtis Mayfield.
