- 1976 - The Allman Brothers broke up after Gregg Allman testified against their road manager who was on trial.

- 1977 - Bruce Springsteen settled his case with former manager Mike Appel, allowing him to once again record.
- 1982 - A Vietnam veterans benefit concert was held in San Francisco, produced by Bill Graham, with the Grateful Dead, the Jefferson Starship and Country Joe McDonald.

- 1996 - Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode was taken to Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles with an apparent drug overdose. He was arrested for cocaine and heroin possession.
