- 2003 - While cracking a bootleg ring, U.K. police recovered over 500 tapes by the Beatles, known as the Get Back Tapes, which were stolen in the 70's.
- 2003 - Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees was rushed to a hospital in Florida with a stomach emergency. He had a heart attack during surgery.
- 2003 - Tommy Mottola resigned as head of Sony.
- 2004 - Courtney love won custody of daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
- 2006 - The White Stripes canceled a tour of Japan after doctors told Jack White to rest his voice for two weeks.
